As promised, here are two of my Beauty Advisors with their Christmas Cards. Unfortunately, one of my BA's could not make it and when I see her, I will be sure to post the picture!

I made them Lunch Pail Card Tins along with some cards and gave them a Coach Scarf for everything they have done for me this past year.

WOW, I can't believe that it has been a whole year since I have posted...

I made a very special Christmas card for my Staff this year. Each year, I have to ensure that it is more "interactive" than the previous year. I think I did a good job creating this card for them. The front is a Waterfall card and when you pull it, the Snowman's face "melts"

Then when you open it, it is a 3D Snowman...

I will try and post a picture of the Ladies with their cards. I sure hope they like them as much as I enjoyed making these cards for them. I have the best staff and they mean the world to me!!

I got this colour combination from Elise Blaha's blog. She recently got married and hand made many of her items for her wedding which included invitations to her wedding bouquets. I know, I have been MIA for months... I haven't had a lot of inspiration, but with the new Idea Book and Catalogue, inspiration has been coming back...

This card was created from a similar card that I received in a swap. I used the Eiffel Tower from Artistic Etchings. It definitely brings back the memories of while I was in Paris last year. Being able to see the Eiffel Tower in person is "surreal". Oh, I so want to go back to Paris for the "Pain au chocolat"...

Colour Renovation!

Stampin' Up! announced that there will be a Colour Renovation starting July 1st in the new Idea Book & Catalogue. Some previously released "In Colours" which were retired will be returning to our colour pallete. My favourite--Baja Breeze, along with Riding Hood Red, Pink Pirouette, Pacific Point, Tangerine Tango, River Rock and Wild Wasabi. In addition to these past In Colours, the current In Colours; Melon Mambo, Rich Razzleberry and Soft Suede will be added to the new colours! Stampin' Up! will also be introducing five new colors to the Colour Renovation. They are: Marina Mist, Cajun Craze, Daffodil Delight, Early Espresso and Cherry Cobbler to complete the four new Colour Collections.

There will also be five new In Colors released in the new 2010/2011 Idea Book & Catalogue, for a total colour pallete of 45 colours! These new In Colours that will be released will be available for 2 years before they retire and will be joined by another five new colours in July 2011 when the full compliment of 50 colours will be completed!

Now for the other news… With 25 colors being retired, you will want to stock up on ink, ink refills, card stock or other coordinating accessories in these colours. They will only be available till June 30th. You can click on the retiring colours to see which colours will be retired.

2010 Winer Olympics

The 2010 Winter Olympics started on Friday, February 12. The City of Vancouver is alive with excitement! When we walk downtown, everyone has the Canadian Olympic spirit, they are wearing their Canada gear with great pride. One nice thing about living in Vancouver is we can go downtown early, see a few venues and then go home so we don't have to wait in the huge line ups. Here is a picture from the Canada Pavilion.

Sorry it has been so long since I posted. I was on holidays in Las Vegas, then off to Whistler for work meetings. Whistler was very busy with 9 to 15 hour work days. I was nominated in 3 of the 5 financial categories which are--Sales, Gross Margin and Contributions, Payroll and Inventory Turns. Then there is an award for Manager of the Year. Unfortunately, I could only win in one financial category, so I won for Sale % increase! Last year, I won for Inventory Turns. Being a Cosmetic Manager for two years, this has been a great accomplishment for me.

Okay, now to some Paper Candy news...

I am doing a Christmas card class with my Stampin' Sister. The details are:

Create 14 cards, 7 different designs as well as an assortment of holiday gift tags.

When: Sunday, November 8th

Where: Burnaby Lake, Sports Complex West, 3677 Kensington Avenue

Time: 10 am to 1 pm

Fee: $35; please bring your own adhesive

Now that school is back in session, the next holiday is Halloween. Pretty "scarey"... I will be posting some Halloween cards that I received in a swap the next few days. This is one that I made with the Sweet Centers stamp set and the Day and Night DSP. It was CASED a bit from my friend Alison whose swap I did not receive (Insert sad face...) I found the bat embellishment in my scrap booking stash.

What a beautiful day for a wedding it was! It was quite emotional as my Sister In Law walked down the aisle with her brother/my husband. My other two Sister In Law's and I looked at each other and there was not a dry eye. Wendy and Jonas made a beautiful couple.

This card was created by Alison Solven who is our Upline. To create this card, she brayered 4 ink colors--Barely Banana, More Mustard and Pumpkin Pie and Really Rust. After you brayer these colors you need to sponge on the colors to blend and then stamp an image on top.

I am going away tonight on a 10 day Baltic Cruise on Princess Cruises, along with a short stop over in Paris before coming home. I know the time that I am in Paris will not be long enough, but just enough to want to plan the next trip back there! So I will be MIA for a couple of weeks.

I have pictures of some card swaps that I recently did at my Stampin' Up! Downline meeting just before I left for Edmonton. So, check back daily for the swaps! This one is by our "Queen of 3D"; Elaine Paget. The original design is by Jackie Topa. It is called a "Magic Circle Card". Elaine is so talented and she recently just earned the cruise to the Southern Carribean that each Stampin' Up Demonstrator has the opportunity of earning every year. Once again congratulations Elaine! To create this card, Elaine used the large scallop Big Shot die and cut another smaller circle using the the Stampin' Up! "Circle Scissor Plus".
